Zircotec offers an end-to-end process for you manifold. Simply ship your item to us (or drop it off at our factory in Abingdon, Oxfordshire) and we'll take care of the rest:
- Masking according to your specifications, areas you do not want coated (e.g. slip joints, threads, etc)
- Surface preparation and solvent cleaning to maximise coating adhesion
- Coating application through plasma spraying (ThermoHold®) or wet spraying (P1C)
- Curing
- Inspection and packaging

P1C - Polymer Ceramics
Performance 1 Coatings are our range of thermally stable polymer ceramic coatings that offer a styling solution for exhaust systems and components in high temperature environments.
Performance 1 Coatings are expertly applied to a pre-prepared surface and are able to adhere to a variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminium, carbon fibre, and plastics. Performance 1 Coatings can reduce temperatures by up to 15%, which significantly reduces engine bay temperature and helps to keeps intake air cooler.
ThermoHold®
Our proprietary ThermoHold® ceramic coating formulation was developed to significantly reduce heat transfer, and to provide a lightweight and easily packaged coating to reduce heat loss from hot components. This formulation can be applied onto metallic & composite substrates.
Balancing thermal performance with affordability, this ceramic coating will appeal to users who want some of the benefits of Zircotec’s plasma sprayed thermal barrier coatings, but who might not need the ultra high levels of thermal barrier performance offered by some of our other offerings.
ThermoHold® Performance
Based on our core ThermoHold® formulation, Performance White™ is only available from Zircotec, and is applied via our world class plasma-spray robotic systems.
Performance White™ delivers the ultimate in thermal barrier performance and can be utilised across a broad reach of industries.
Performance Colours™ is Zircotec’s proprietary range of high-temperature, high-quality ceramic coatings that contain our proprietary ThermoHold® technology. Coatings are suitable for use on exhaust systems, as well as a range of other components that come into contact with heat.
The range features 14 different colours which are suitable for performance, classic car and motorcycle applications. Four brand-new colours have just been released in 2025: Ocean Blue, Racing Green, Heritage Bronze, and Titanium.
The range provides similar levels of performance to our Performance White™ coating, with a surface finish that is robust, easily maintained and looks fantastic.
